PLAYING INFORMATION
Registration
You must register before the day by contacting the organiser.Arriving
- Punctual arrival ensures a smooth start to the day.
- Times listed on the calendar are when check-in commences (noting some venues have different entry times) games will commence as soon as possible after every registered player has arrived.
- If you are running late, or unable to attend, please advise the Organizer; players that do not advise of being late may risk not being included in the event on the day.
- Player assistance in setting up on the day is hugely appreciated.
How it goes
- Events may be divided into sections of similar ability.
- Each round a fixture will tell you who you play, your table number and who starts that game (indicated by an asterisk).
- Typically, a clock is used to allocate time. Unless otherwise specified, this is 25 minutes each. Events run without clocks are set to 50 minutes per game.
Rating
A national rating system is used. Unless otherwise specified all our competition events are rated.Word source
All events listed use the current WESPA recognised word list (Collins Scrabble Words 2024) unless otherwise stated.Equipment
Rotating boards are used, please bring yours if you have one. Also bring a clock timer if you have one.Other Items to Note
